The healing process: Trauma occurs. You feel it but feel more because you have stored trauma still in your body. Your stored trauma is re-traumatized. You cry. You shake. You feel confused. Lost. Foggy. You talk about it. You feel validated and heard. You feel less foggy. You feel confused still. You feel drained out. You cry again. It lessens. You feel strangely alive. You talk some more. You feel attacked. You shrink and doubt yourself again. You cry. You fight back. You feel stupid. You feel sad and embarrassed but more alive. You talk some more in a more coherent way so that you’ll be heard better. You feel more heard. You feel less foggy. Less confused. You feel a bit better. Nowhere there yet but better. You talk some more and set healthy boundaries with people who attack you. You know you aren’t strong enough to be attacked yet. You pray for the strength to endure attack and not feel attacked. You feel more alive. You share more. You care less and less about the attacks. You feel more united with those you share with. You feel more unity. You feel better. You realize you are not alone. People share these same feelings. You matter. You are okay. You smile. You laugh. Here and there. Not that often but often enough. You are on your way with each rolling tide just throw it out to sea.
