Gratitude vs. Appreciation

Gratitude VS. Appreciation
I love deep dives. I love feeling through how I’m feeling, or how my family and friends are feeling – to get the crux of an emotion, which sheds perfect light on the crux of a vibration, which sheds light on what you’re creating.
Life is full of subtle distinctions, subtle color variations, and subtle feeling variations that, when you pay attention, provide a spring board for self-awareness and transformation. It gives you the opportunity to fine tune your “signal” and make it more of a match to your desire. That’s our goal here right? To be in such vibrational alignment, to be so clear that our dreams and desires must, must come.
Knowing that APPRECIATION is a match to Source Energy (see Day 1!) – I’ve always paid attention to gratitude as well. Is it the same? Does it vibrate at the same frequency? Does it produce the same results? Does it connect me to my joy? Does it make me an energetic match to the love I am?
First things first. Stand in your power right now and FEEL. Just feel into those two words. First gratitude and now appreciation.
When you are grateful, isn’t it usually attached to something you’ve overcome? Looking back over a life, a situation, a moment – even if it was just seconds before. Yesterday I felt grateful my sick child finally broke his fever. And in the next moment, I chose appreciation for him. For all heis. His sensitive, spunky ways. His sweetness, his kindness, for his healer heart. His wisdom for his age. For getting a glimpse in that moment for the mark he’ll put on this earth. The greatness he IS, and that he’s becoming. The package of him.
And as I focus on that – appreciation overwhelms me, and suddenly there is no resistance in my vibration. There is no memory of his sickness. There is only love – and when you’re there – you are a match to your highest self.
So, am I saying to skip gratitude? Nope. I’m saying it’s a spring board from where you’ve been, into vibrational alignment with who you ARE. The whole of you. Looking at life through the eyes of Source. Being one with all that is. That – is deep appreciation and where it can take you.
TODAY: Reflect on something you’ve struggled with and overcome, something you’re grateful for. Write it down. And then move into what you appreciate about that NOW. (That event, that person, that expansion.) Go deep. Make a list. Appreciating every ounce of what IS.
